“I began my hairdressing journey with TONI&GUY back in my home country of England, almost 20 years ago. It was the eclectic and creative mix of staff and clients together with the ‘of the moment’ imagery in the salon windows that initially drew me in to enquire about a job.
It was very much the strong brand identity and dedication to continuous education that excited me back then and continues to be the reason I remain with the company 20 years later.
My greatest learnings have been to listen and to be open. I believe the key to success is to be open to change and continuously educate yourself and others. My skill set, my beliefs and values have grown and strengthened over the years by listening to my clients, peers and students and to always be open to learning new things.
When I look to the future, I have no specific goals in mind, other than to continue to adapt to a changing world and to be open to new ways of serving clients and providing world class education to a new generation. I’m fortunate that I get to share this experience and learn from the global family of TONI&GUY hairdressers. I have no doubt that I’ll be here for another 20 years!”

My journey with Toni and Guy started at the end of 2017 when I enrolled myself into the certificate 3 course at the Toni and Guy academy. I chose this career path after studying make up and hairstyling which I thoroughly enjoyed but wanted to add more to my skill set. This is when I decided to go down the path of becoming a Toni and Guy qualified stylist. I chose Toni and Guy for its industry reputation and focus on their tremendous educational system. I quickly learnt that as a company there are many opportunities to excel.
I look forward to one day owning my own salon within the Toni and Guy brand. After being given the amazing opportunity to thrive in such a short amount of time, I have been mentored from Cert 3 to, specialising in haircutting, onto assistant manager and now assisting managing between 2 salons. I’m very fortunate to work closely with Sara Langford and within the next few years I am on the path to own my own salon. It surprises me that my greatest learning within my time at Toni and Guy has been able to understand and learn how to manage a business and my clientele.
